TANIA - PRINCIPAL PHOTOGRAPHER AND DIRECTOR

New Zealand born photographer Tania Niwa leads a very passionate and talented team of photographers specialising in beach portraiture, corporate photography, home and newborn studies.

Tania's ever-growing collection of commissioned and private work is not only testimony to her love of photography, but also her ongoing mission to strive for new levels of excellence. It is no wonder, for Tania Niwa is an international multi award winning photographer who continues to gather accolades from individual clients, companies and photography judges, worldwide. Amongst many other achievements Tania is the youngest ever Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Photography and last year received her 4th gold bar to Masters with the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP).

Another facet to Tania's photography is the influence of her Maori heritage. Her ancestry provides an ongoing source of inspiration for her personal collection of tribal images spanning more than a decade. Her spirited tribal portraiture blends ancient tradition with a modern interpretation. Tania's fascination with cultures, combined with her own heritage has helped weave a unique style of documentary and high design. Tania's affinity for indigenous cultures and recognition of her talent by other leading artists and agencies in NZ has lead to ongoing cultural and art related assignments in her home land.

LAUREN MILES - STUDIO MANAGER

Lauren Miles has been a studio Manager, professional photographer and make up artist for the past 11 years. She joined the Niwa Photography three years ago and has guided the studio to new heights in this time with a wealth of knowledge, energy and passion.

Tania and Lauren have developed a powerful working relationship blending their knowledge and creativity. Treating Niwa Photography as her own, Lauren heads a team of five and manages marketing, finances, customer care and the day to day operations of the studio.

Tania said "Lauren also has an exceptional talent directing and styling on assignments. She also has an innate ability to connect with and inspire people." Testimony to this is feedback from International leading NZ Maori artist, sculptor & author - Darcy Nicholas - "I was very impressed with your Photographic Producer, Lauren as she has an innate ability to connect and she has a very good eye for composition and fine detail."

Lauren was also a valued speaker at WPPI Convention in Las Vegas with Tania in 2007 and for the NSW AIPP on the principles of great customer care. She will also be a guest speaker with Tania on Magnetic Island in July 2008 for the Nth QLD Australian Institute of Professional Photographers.

JOY HUGHES - PHOTOGRAPHER & STUDIO COORDINATOR

In addition to her tertiary qualifications, Joy has four years industry experience as professional photographer in weddings and portraits.

Joy's passion lies in creating portraits and she has quickly established herself as an accomplished location and studio portrait photographer for Kids by Niwa.

Tania said "Joy has a wonderful enthusiastic nature which is very important when on assignments to help our clients relax and enjoy their shoots".

Joy is an emerging member of the Australian Institute of Professional Photographers (AIPP) and is focusing on entering her personal portfolio in the Australian Professional Photographers Awards (APPA) for the first time in 2008.

BEC DOMLADOVAC - MARKETING MANAGER

Bec has over 11 years experience in marketing and business management. Additionally to formal qualifications in marketing, Bec is also an experienced and qualified photographer.

Bec was formerly the Studio Manager in 2002-03 and has a real insight into the company and how clients can be best served.

EMMA HICKS - CREATIVE TEAM

Emma has a long standing history with Niwa Photography. Emma is a talented hair and make up artist and has experience assisting on shoots. Emma also assists with marketing.

Emma is responsible for creating the warm ambience and the catering for clients in the studio.
